ESTIMATES

Estimates are often misunderstood, as they are sometimes referred to in the trade as "visible damage quotations." An estimator can only assess what is visible without further disassembly and testing. Additional damage is frequently discovered after disassembly. This is not a sales tactic to inflate the price—rather, estimates can serve as a final price but are more often a solid starting point for deciding whether to proceed through insurance or pay out of pocket.

We easily work with most major insurance companies.

Reminders:

In California, a person requesting body shop services absolutely has the right to their choice of a shop and you only need one estimate for an insurance company or an at-fault party. Insurance companies cannot dictate the choice of shop.

Decide if your vehicle is safe to drive or should be towed:

  • Are there fluids leaking?

  • Is the steering system damaged?

  • Are headlights or taillights broken?

  • Are parts falling off?

  • Are sharp or jagged edges exposed?

  • Are there rubbing noises or vibrations?

  • Has there been a loss of tire pressure?

If you have doubt, let us arrange a tow. Most insurance policies cover tow charges to a repair shop of your choice.
